DJ NQ AU ₿ 4 markets

From sign-up to your first trade in about ten minutes.

You need a MetaTrader 5 account and a Windows PC or VPS. You never share a password, and nothing but a small EA is installed.

Set up in five steps

Create your Steps account

Sign up at dash.steps.trade with your email, and turn on two-factor sign-in.

Have a MetaTrader 5 hedging account

Use one you already have, or open one with a partner broker. Start with a demo account: the trial runs on demo.

Install the Steps EA

On Windows, run the Steps installer: it finds your MetaTrader 5, copies the EA and opens it on a chart. Then, once, add hub1.steps.trade and hub2.steps.trade under Tools → Options → Expert Advisors → Allow WebRequest for listed URL, and press the Algo Trading button so it is green.

Enter the 6-digit code

The chart shows a code. Type it on your dashboard under Connect MT5. The EA connects in seconds and remembers the connection; there is no key to copy.

Choose a plan and your settings

Pick your plan, your markets and your risk size. From now on new trades open by themselves, and you can watch or pause them from anywhere.

Mac, Linux or phone only? MetaTrader 5's phone apps cannot run an EA. Use a Windows VPS (from your broker, MetaQuotes or any host) and watch from your phone.

Three parts, one system

Each part does one job, so a copied EA is worth nothing and a lost connection never strands a trade.

Our servers

The brain

The strategy decides, and every decision is checked against your plan, your settings and our safety limits before it is signed and sent.

Your terminal

The hands

The Steps EA in your MetaTrader 5 checks the instruction again, sizes it from your equity and places it with its stop-loss.

Your phone

The switch

See every trade as it happens, get an alert if anything stops, and switch to close-only in one tap.

When something goes wrong

Connections drop and computers restart. Steps is built so that none of it leaves a trade without protection.

Where to run MetaTrader 5

The EA only trades while your terminal is open. A computer that sleeps at night misses trades.

Your own Windows PC

Fine to start and for demo. Turn sleep off while markets are open.

A Windows VPS

Runs 24/7. Choose one in the same region as your broker's server for the fastest fills.

MetaQuotes VPS

Built into MetaTrader 5: attach the EA once on a PC, then migrate it; it runs next to your broker.
